Japanese people wear yukata (informal cotton kimono) when relaxing at home or when
going out during the summer. So, why not dress yourself in a yukata? Just follow the
directions in the order indicated in the illustration and relax with it in your room or
anywhere in the Ryokan. The yukata also serves as sleepwear at night. It is provided to
you temporarily during your stay so that you can use it for this purpose. Please note also
that it is not a bathrobe. During cold weather seasons, a short coat (haori) or padded
outer garment (tanzen) is worn over the yukata. The yukata may also be worn outside
while strolling around the area surrounding the Ryokan.
